De vraag is maar of het binnen afzienbare tijd gaat gebeuren.
De gemiddelde wachttijd voor een executie ligt al erg hoog.
Dus waarom zou dit dan anders gaan?
Misschien dat de komende verkiezingen nog wat veranderen aan de situatie?

Maar weinig waarschijnlijk dat dit te maken zou hebben met zijn executie.

Wat slecht, hij leeft nog, en heeft nog altijd een even grote kutkop dan voor de Ramadan. Ze moesten die kerel gewoon ritueel slachten.

Het laatste nieuws, (NL tijd 18.10u) er is zojuist medegedeeld op televisie door een of andere hoge pief dat ; Belooft, dit jaar zullen ze alle drie zeker geexecuteerd worden
JA???? Dat beloofde ze ook, het gebeurd zeker VOOR de Ramadan

ik ben tegen de doodstraf , maar ik ben benieuwd hoelang hij zijn straf blijft ontlopen. mischien wel een leuke weddenschap. om de eer natuurlijk.

Bombers 'could be executed next week'

JAKARTA, 13 October 2008 - Three key Islamic militants on death row over the 2002 Bali bombings could be executed as early as next week. The Indonesian Government today took the unusual step of announcing that an announcement about the executions will be made on Friday, October 24. Indonesia typically announces executions after they have been carried out.
A spokesman for Indonesia's Attorney General Hendarman Supandji said there were "no obstacles" to prevent the executions from proceeding. The Attorney General's office would give details of the executions on October 24, spokesman Jasman Pandjaitan said. "Basically, there's no obstacles," he said in Jakarta. "Even so, there are some preparations needed. We have to coordinate with the firing squad, the executor and other related parties like the prison and its officers."
Indonesia does not normally make public the timing and locations of executions, raising speculation that the statement on Friday next week could be to announce the bombers have been put to death. Jasman refused to answer questions about whether the announcement would be made after the executions were carried out, Indonesian news agency Antara reported. The Attorney General's office on Friday confirmed the executions would be carried out this year.

A spokesman for Indonesia's Attorney-General's office has told the ABC the three Bali bombers on death row will not be shot within the next fortnight.
He says an update on the execution process will be given on Friday next week.
Today Fairfax newspapers reported that the executions of the Bali bombers Amrozi, Mukhlas and Samudra were set to proceed within the next two weeks.
The reports repeated a comment allegedly made to a local online news service in which Jasman Pandjaitan, a spokesman for Indonesia's Attorney-General, says that the details of the executions will be revealed Friday week.
This was interpreted as meaning the executions will be done before that date.
But Mr Pandjaitan has told the ABC that the executions will not take place before October 24.
"No, not yet", he said."We're explaining on the 24th because we've received so many questions from the foreign media."
"We still don't know the exact time of the executions", he added.

JAKARTA - Drie moslims die zijn veroordeeld voor hun aandeel in de aanslagen in Bali in 2002, mogen door een vuurpeloton worden geëxecuteerd. Het constitutionele hof in Indonesische verwierp dinsdag het beroep dat de veroordeelden tegen hun executie hadden aangetekend.
De drie veroordeelden hadden gesteld dat executie door een vuurpeloton een vorm van marteling is. Volgens de voorzitter van het hof is echter geen sprake van marteling. Indonesische functionarissen zeiden dat de executies vermoedelijk eind dit jaar worden voltrokken.
Amrozi Nurhasyim, Ali Gufron and Imam Samudra, who were sentenced to death in 2003, have now exhausted all options of appeal and are expected to be executed before the end of the year. The date of the execution will be announced on Friday, said Attorney General Hendarman Supandji. The announcement would break from previous government tradition of not publicly announcing execution dates.
